Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis for IT projects, delivering enterprise solutions through expertise in process discovery, requirements definition, and implementation. The Senior BA will drive the business analysis process, manage project lifecycle components, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and successful project outcomes.



Responsibilities:

• Lead Business Analysis: Plan, manage, and execute business analysis activities, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Process and Solution Design: Document current and future state processes, perform gap analysis, and develop business, functional, and solution requirements.

• Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead working groups, support architects in designing integrations and data models, and prepare RFPs with functional/non-functional requirements.

• Testing and Change Management: Guide testing teams, validate user acceptance testing results, and support change management through training materials and delivery.

• Mentorship and Methodology: Mentor junior BAs, advise on waterfall/agile methodologies, and contribute to improving business analysis practices.

• Project Support: Conduct feasibility studies, develop business cases, and provide status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to project managers.


Qualifications:

• 8+ years of business analysis experience, ideally in public sector or complex organizational settings.

• Demonstrated experience with COTS implementations (e.g., CRM, ERP, or similar systems).

• Proficiency in process mapping, data modeling, and RFP preparation.

• Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies; mentoring experience is an asset.

• Certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Change Management) are an asset.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to staying current with IT trends and best practices.
