We are seeking a talented individual to join our Casualty Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $111,000 to $270,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

What can you expect?
- Use your casualty risk expertise, combined with industry and carrier knowledge, to instruct placement strategy and to develop placement solutions that meet complex client needs.
- Manage a book of high profile, highly complex, insurance and risk management portfolios.
- Join a tenured team of placement experts and noted industry leaders, known for their ability to deliver high-end, professional and technically strong brokerage services to clients across various industries.
- Access to Marsh’s word-class resources and mentoring program
- Develop methods for the go-to-market strategy and provide input on pricing of services supporting client retention and new business production.
- Guide strong working relations with carriers and/or underwriters to create innovative approaches to unique client needs and provide cohesive client service.
- Audit and finalize commission structure with underwriter in accordance with client direction and agreement.
- Achieve a thorough understanding of changing insurance and risk market conditions and inform client teams, clients and carriers of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
- Apply advanced knowledge to the firm’s product lines by active participation in internal networks.
- Devise new products and innovative solutions that address complex client needs.
- Lead complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts to ensure contract execution as required.
- Casualty Risk Management experience, an understanding of Casualty Risk concepts and strong technical knowledge
- 10+ years insurance experience on the Broker or Insurer side
- Broker Licenses Required (Level 2 - Preferred)
- An in-depth knowledge of changing market conditions to contribute to the firm’s body of knowledge within Casualty
