Senior Electrical Engineer - #183721

Matchbox Consulting is on the hunt for a Senior Electrical Engineer located in Edmonds, BC working in a hybrid work model (minimum two days in office and may increase based on business requirements).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects (60kV to 500kV), ensuring compliance with EGBC standards.
- Provide technical leadership to multi-discipline design teams and act as the Professional of Record (PoR) for sealed engineering deliverables.
- Develop and review detailed engineering packages including calculations, specifications, design basis, and cost estimates. Offer construction support and field reviews to resolve complex design issues and ensure successful implementation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage scope, schedule, and design integration across disciplines.
Must have:
- P.Eng. designation and eligible for registration with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including transmission line project experience
- At least 4 years leading multi-discipline teams on medium to large-scale utility or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and project delivery
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel for field reviews and construction support
Asset:
- Previous project manager experience
- Previous utility experience
