As the Senior HSE Advisor, you’ll work on-site at their Langley, BC office and play a key role in supporting operational safety across the country. This position reports to the Director of HSE and requires occasional travel (about 20-25%) to support regional teams. You’ll provide guidance, lead audits, and help drive continuous improvement in a company that takes safety seriously—at every level. An active NCSO certification is a requirement for this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Champion health, safety, and environmental practices across operational sites and business units
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and other provincial/federal safety legislation
  • Lead and support site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Support and manage COR audit readiness and certification across operations
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of health and safety training, orientation, and awareness initiatives
  • Write and revise clear, accurate SOPs, safety procedures, and related documentation
  • Partner closely with field teams and union representatives to maintain a collaborative and proactive safety culture
  • Collect, analyze, and report on safety metrics to track performance and inform decision-making
  • Act as a key point of contact with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings and support union-related HSE processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated HSE role, preferably in industrial, field-based, or operational settings
  • Active NCSO certification (National Construction Safety Officer) is required
  • Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC legislation and national occupational health and safety standards
  • Proven experience managing or supporting COR audits
  • Previous experience working in or alongside unionized environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write SOPs and safety documentation clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the business
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% across Canada
  • CRSP designation is considered an asset but not required

Remuneration:

  • $80-90K annually
