Northern Health is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as Senior Operating Officer (SOO) for the Northwest Health Service Delivery Area. Based in Terrace, BC, this executive role is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality, integrated health services across the region, while advancing Northern Health’s mission and strategic priorities.
As SOO, you will:
- Provide executive leadership across all operational areas within your portfolio.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and culturally appropriate care aligned with Northern Health’s Strategic and Service Plans.
- Foster integration and collaboration across teams to deliver a seamless continuum of care tailored to local needs.
- Serve as a key member of the Northern Health Operations Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Champion innovation, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate a culture of engagement, safety, and excellence among staff and physicians.
This position oversees operations throughout the entire Northwest Health Service Delivery Area, with a home base in the vibrant community of Terrace.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $170,841 – $213,551
- (Based on education, experience, and comparable roles)

Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Health Administration or a related field
- 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
