Main Responsibilities
Strategic Roadmap & Retention Focus
- Translate Strategy into Action: Partner with Customer Insights, CRM/Marketing, E-commerce, and Analytics stakeholders to translate retention objectives and business visions into clear Epics and an actionable product roadmap.
- Drive Customer Retention: Own the end-to-end optimization of features, enhancements, and customer journeys aimed specifically at increasing user engagement, repeat purchase behaviour, and long-term brand loyalty.
- Feature Lifecycle Management: Lead feature development from ideation through launch and beyond, actively maintaining a robust testing backlog to continuously optimize the customer experience and mitigate risk.
- Guard the Golden Data Set: Define and manage the requirements for our core customer "golden data set," ensuring high-fidelity data flows that enable real-time, hyper-personalized customer experiences.
- System Integration: Partner closely with technical teams and other cross-functional POs to ensure seamless, stable, and future-ready integrations between our data systems and the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Agile Backlog Management: Translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize the product backlog efficiently across growth features, performance optimization, and technical debt.
- KPI & Performance Monitoring: Define clear goals and KPIs (such as retention rates, churn reduction, and conversion) in collaboration with business owners. Continuously monitor metrics to report performance back to senior leadership.
- Obsess Over the Customer: Initiate user testing and leverage research insights to deeply understand consumer behaviour, using data to build habit-forming, personalized digital touchpoints tailored to each brand’s unique identity.
- Cross-Functional Relationship Building: Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers across digital product, IT, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure alignment and speed to market.
- Experience: 5+ years of Product Owner experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused industry (Retail or E-commerce preferred). A proven track record in retention, CRM, customer journey management, or personalization strategies is essential.
- Technical Ecosystem Expertise: Previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and/or Braze is a must-have. Solid understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Salesforce Experience Cloud (SFEC) is highly valued.
- Data Fluency: Strong understanding of data architecture, data flows, APIs, and customer data platforms (CDPs) required to maintain unified customer profiles.
- Agile Frameworks: Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with full backlog ownership, sprint planning, and cross-team dependencies.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the demonstrated ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams, presenting complex concepts clearly to a senior audience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ownership: You take full initiative, confidently make tough decisions under ambiguity, and maintain a strong sense of urgency around resolving critical customer-facing issues.
- Data-Driven: You live in the analytics and insights, but you know when to question the data quality to protect the integrity of the customer experience.
- Creative: You are a natural problem-solver who thinks creatively about how to delight the customer without being afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Empathetic & Curious: You are genuinely eager to learn emerging technologies (like AI and advanced automation) and thrive in a collaborative culture that deeply cares about people.
- A comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;
- A group retirement savings program with employer matching;
