OPPORTUNITY:


HEABC has an opening for a Senior Project Manager, IMIT. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (the CIO), the Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing the execution of large and complex IMIT projects and is directly accountable for ensuring the attainment of on-time and on-budget targets. The Senior Project Manager leads the implementation of projects using PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) methodologies and tools, and works closely with project partners to develop and refine project-related processes. The Senior Project Manager identifies, monitors and manages project risks, and escalates issues to business and IT management as required to ensure effective risk mitigation and issue resolution.


As a member of the IMIT Leadership Team (ITLT), the Senior Project Manager, IMIT provides mentorship and expertise to IMIT staff, including the Project Coordinator, promoting the use of project management best practice, methodologies, and standards, and providing guidance in the resolution of complex issues.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Directs and manages the planning and execution of projects including scope, deliverables, timelines, cost estimates, and change management.
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring project budgets.
  • Develops project charters, project plans, costs estimates, business cases, committee presentations and other documentation.
  • Oversees day-to-day project activities through the application of sound project management principles and methodologies
  • Manages vendor contracts to ensure compliance and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Conducts post-completion analysis of all assigned projects and documents post-completion recommendations, outstanding issues and incomplete deliverables.
  • Supervises the IMIT Project team, including staff development, workflow coordination, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborates with the IMIT Leadership Team (ITLT) on initiatives that require project management support.



Required Education, Experience and Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years directly related experience in managing IT projects, people and budgets in a complex information systems environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, processes and methodologies, and specifically the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Knowledge of various tools for project management, planning, estimating and time tracking, including MS Project and MS Excel.
  • Ability to deliver numerous complex projects on time and on budget while maintaining effective client and team relationships.
  • Ability to assess and manage project risks, identify and monitor critical path activities, and implement effective change control and issue escalation procedures.
  • Ability to comprehend complex, technical subjects, think conceptually, analyze and solve complex issues and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability of providing leadership to a diverse project team and interact comfortably with senior personnel in the organization.

Salary Range: $ 106,026 to $139,160

Typical Hiring Range: $106,026 to $132,533


In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
