The Job

  • Assist the Director of Finance, in preparing, reviewing and analyzing revenue arrangements to confirm compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant revenue recognition standards.
  • Communicate and work with the team consisting of Finance Operations, Manufacturing and Legal to ensure timely release of sales orders.
  • Manage weekly product backlog to assure all items are resolved and delivery can take place as planned. Follow up on deferred revenue and acceptance items for timely resolution.
  • Oversee and provide revenue recognition analysis and reporting for month end and quarter end close process including quarterly presentations to CFO and other executives on quarter end results.
  • Work with the business intelligence team to design, test and roll-out enhanced and automated business reporting around revenue reporting.
  • Assist the Director of Finance, with special requests such as researching and resolving revenue related issues and drafting of accounting position papers.
  • Provide strategic direction in support of critical revenue cycle initiatives and goals.
  • Assist in the development of and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead and manage the annual SSP calculation and analysis process.
  • Manage and mentor junior members of the revenue team to grow their understanding and capabilities with revenue recognition principles, deal and order reviews.

The Skills You Bring

  • Proficiency with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
  • Strong understanding of complex revenue recognition criteria
  • A dedication to excellence, teamwork, and an ability to drive and manage change
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize deadlines on an ongoing basis
  • Attention to detail when reporting financial results used for strategic decision making
  • Confident communication, capable of building relationships at all levels and outside of finance
  • Strong computer skills, excel power user
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce and Tableau

Required Work Experience, Education And Certifications

  • CPA designation
  • 5 to 10 years applicable experience; management experience required
  • Experience as a people manager in a position with a strong focus on revenue recognition principles
