Senior Software Developer (C/C++) - #111325

Fortinet has a great career opportunity for a Software Developer within its FortiClient team, which is responsible for one of the fastest-growing products in the company.

FortiClient’s Security Fabric Integration provides endpoint visibility through telemetry and ensures that all fabric components – FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, EMS, Managed AP, Managed Switches, and Sandbox – have a unified view of endpoints in order to provide tracking and awareness, compliance enforcement, and reporting. Fortinet extends ZTNA control to end-user devices both on- and off-network operation through FortiClient. Easy to use Secure Remote Access and Mobility via SSL and IPsec VPN. FortiClient connects every endpoint to form a cohesive security fabric.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficient in C/C++ with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Minimum 4 years' working experience with C/C++ language.
• Extensive experience in network programming and a solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with Windows driver programming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Strong familiarity with VPN technologies and protocols.
• Experience with Rust programming language is a significant plus.
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, Golang).
• Knowledge of network security practices.
• Familiarity with Windows Kernel development

Educational qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $90,000 - $150,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
