Be part of a team that supports the day-to-day operations of our shop, fleet, and project teams. As a Shop Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are organized, maintained, and ready to support our field operations.
In this role, you’ll bring strong organizational skills, a hands-on approach, and attention to detail to coordinate shop activities, shipping and receiving, and equipment readiness. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, field staff, and vendors to ensure materials and equipment are available when and where they’re needed.

Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Coordinate and stage materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming projects in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Load and unload materials from company vehicles and organize inventory within the shop.
- Receive, track, and distribute incoming shipments and prepare outgoing shipments, including international shipping requirements.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts to move materials and equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory systems, including implementing and managing barcode scanning processes.
- Assist with the coordination of fleet and equipment maintenance, including scheduling, tracking, and record keeping.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate records for equipment, vehicle logs, and inspections.
- Oversee organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the shop and yard.
- Manage shop supplies, coveralls, and PPE, including ordering and inventory control.
- Coordinate rental equipment and source shop-related materials as needed.
Safety responsibilities include:
- Perform all work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
- Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety inspections.
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
- Maintain safety equipment, first aid kits, and PPE inventory.
- Ensure safety tags, lockout tags, and certifications are up to date.
- Track and coordinate servicing of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers.
Position Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Working knowledge of electrical materials and equipment is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical work.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude for small tool repairs.
- Experience operating forklifts is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Repetitive tasks which may require pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, & twisting;
- Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise, temperature, and air quality;
- May involve overhead work and heights.
- Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required.
