We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Shopper Marketing Manager to lead shopper engagement initiatives across the ONT Grocery Channel. Reporting to the Director of Shopper Marketing this role will be responsible for developing and executing best in class shopper centric strategies and programs that drive conversion, enhance brand presence, and strengthen our partnerships with key retailers.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Shopper Marketing Manager to lead shopper engagement initiatives across the ONT Grocery Channel. Reporting to the Director of Shopper Marketing this role will be responsible for developing and executing best in class shopper centric strategies and programs that drive conversion, enhance brand presence, and strengthen our partnerships with key retailers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Shopper Marketing strategies that ladder up to the AWC Commercial Growth Strategies , are insight-driven and influence purchase decisions at key touchpoints.
- Leverage Shopper Insights & data analytics to optimize marketing activations, improve ROI and to build a deep understanding of the shopper and their path to purchase.
- Collaborate with brand partners in creating best-in-class shopper marketing practices and programs that align on measurable objectives and ensure learnings are leveraged to continuously improve.
- Build strong relationships with key grocery retailers, ensuring alignment on marketing strategies and collaboration on joint business plans.
- Work closely with retail partners to develop customized marketing initiatives that resonate with grocery shoppers and achieve sales objectives.
- Negotiate and manage marketing budgets, promotions, and activation plans with key retail partners.
- Manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and third-party partners to deliver impactful shopper marketing executions.
- Manage and optimize the Shopper Marketing budget by taking a continuous improvement lens to all areas of the budget. Find efficiencies (programs, vendors agreements, work effort, economies of scale, etc.) to drive value for our retail customers and AWC.
- Ensure programs are easy to execute, feedback is gathered from stores and shoppers and best practices are shared.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities for shopper innovation.
- Manage and develop a direct report.
Education
- University Education
- 5-7 Years’ Experience in Brand/Shopper marketing roles within the alcoholic beverage / consumer packaged goods industry
- Experience working building relationships with Ontario grocery + mass + discount + box retailers
- People leadership
- Strong understanding of the ONT grocery, mass, discount and convenience landscape
- Proven ability to translate shopper insights into actionable shopper and trade marketing programs
- Utilize a disciplined approach to define problems, identify root causes, evaluate data from a variety of sources, generate alternative solutions and choose the best option
- Exceptional project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and marketing performance metrics
- Demonstrates abilities to influence and collaborate with Senior Leadership, both internally and externally
- Proven experience effectively working directly with field sales and customer teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
