We’re looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, and social savvy Social Media Community Manager to join our Digital Marketing Team.

As the Social Media Community Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our brand’s online presence. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, your primary responsibility will be to embody the voice and spirit of Open Farm across all social media platforms. You’ll serve as a brand steward, ensuring that our unique personality shines through in every interaction. You’ll operate at the forefront of cultural trends, engaging not just with our existing community but also connecting with wider audiences to amplify our mission, values and passion for pets.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven social media enthusiast, with a deep understanding of how community engagement fosters strong brand loyalty. As the Social Media Community Manager, you’ll excel in crafting and executing engagement strategies, and contributing innovative content ideas to our evergreen content calendar and campaigns. Your mission will be to foster meaningful connections with our audience, nurturing positive brand associations and driving community engagement.

How you’ll make an impact: (If this looks enticing, click “Apply!)

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to develop and implement impactful engagement strategies that resonate with Open Farm’s brand ethos and objectives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Open Farm’s identity and brand voice ensuring our personality comes through in conversations
  • Maintain a great response time by responding to all comments and customer inquiries across all owned social channels. Support influencer programs by engaging with their content featuring Open Farm
  • Expand audience reach and insert Open Farm into culturally relevant moments by engaging with viral content, like-minded brands, and influencers to increase brand visibility
  • Craft engaging and clever comments to foster interactions and enhance community participation. Truly be the voice, of Open Farm.
  • Work collaboratively with our Digital, Creative, and Sales teams to create best-in-class community lead content
  • Report and define KPI’s for community engagement, analyze engagement to identify trends in and out of the Open Farm space to help adjust content strategy, and ensuring optimal engagement and growth
  • Perform quarterly assessments of competitors and sentiment to gauge customer perception, identifying positive and negative sentiments. Identify weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvements for Social, Customer Experience (CX), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Growth teams
  • Be a part of the digital marketing team, supporting content creation and brainstorming sessions across the department.

  • Strong knowledge of social content and engagement best practices
  • Confident with analyzing and reporting social media analytics
  • Self-starter, driven, resourceful, capable of seeing a project through from inception to completion, passionate about the brand, optimistic, and adept at spotting opportunities in every corner
  • Curious and driven to ask questions for deeper understanding

Education and Experience:

  • BA Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in either social media management, engagement, social customer care, and marketing, either with a brand or digital agency
  • Have a track record of executing social media initiatives with demonstrated success building engaged communities
  • Strong collaborator
  • Extensive knowledge using a variety of tech tools and platforms to measure performance such as Dash Hudson or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
