As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce-powered solutions in the retail industry. You will ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, drive scalable and high-performance technical solutions, and provide thought leadership to support business transformation. This role demands technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership to deliver innovative retail experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Architect and Lead Development Teams
- Guide teams in architecting solutions that meet project goals, comply with IT guiding principles, and align with enterprise strategic architecture.
- Provide technical leadership, fostering collaboration and ensuring best practices in Salesforce solution design.
- Review and provide guidance on system development lifecycle documents, ensuring robust architecture from Blueprint to High-Level Technical Design and detailed design reviews.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards, focusing on scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Assist in the evolution of enterprise architecture goals, ensuring Salesforce solutions align with long-term strategic work products.
- Evaluate business proposals, discovery initiatives, and charters to assess feasibility and architectural fit.
- Recommend tools, techniques, and processes that enhance software development, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement, integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Service Cloud to optimize omnichannel retail experiences.
- Analyze current technical solutions, identifying opportunities to optimize business processes through Salesforce.
- Provide expert consultation on business process transformation, recommending total solution enhancements aligned with retail-specific needs.
- Define technical changes required to meet new business goals, ensuring seamless integration and adaptability.
- Act as a trusted partner, ensuring clear communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Determine business and technical requirements, crafting high-level strategies for Salesforce solution design.
- Participate in Blueprint and High-Level Functional Design discussions, driving alignment across technical and business teams.
- Expertise in Salesforce architecture, including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Service Cloud.
- Proficiency in Customer Journey Mapping, utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create personalized, data-driven experiences.
- Experience with Data Cloud, enabling real-time data harmonization for customer insights and targeted engagement.
- Strong understanding of retail solutions and integrating Salesforce technologies to optimize the customer experience.
- Knowledge of system development lifecycle documentation, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Ability to analyze customer behaviors and optimize the end-to-end customer journey through Salesforce tools.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making, utilizing Salesforce Data Cloud for actionable insights.
- Strategic mindset for recommending tools, techniques, and operational efficiencies that enhance customer engagement and business outcomes.
- Experience in business process transformation, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows with Salesforce technologies.
- Proven ability to lead development teams and foster collaboration between technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with business teams, ensuring seamless alignment between strategy and technology.
- Thought leadership in Salesforce best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with others in a matrix organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong relationship building and management skills to achieve work related goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred but not required: Salesforce certifications, such as:
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect
- Salesforce Certified System Architect
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant (for customer journey expertise)
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer
