Job Description

Support a skilled and engaged team as a Steward, where your care and inspection of all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment will ensure a superior standard.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Chief Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow stewarding policies, procedures and service standards
- Ensure plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots & all cooking utensils are cleaned using the appropriate machinery
- Remove garbage and compost from kitchen
- Follow the duties assigned by shift supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of stewarding kitchen areas
- Supply equipment requirements for kitchen and outlets
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Adhere to all LQA standards set up for the department
- Consistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the company’s established grooming policy
- Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
