Position Overview:
ShyftLabs is searching for a Strategy Intern to join our team in Toronto this summer! We're looking for a resourceful student who can work across Sales, Marketing, and Product, to support and drive growth. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an MBA or BBA program, has great communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a genuine passion for business.
ShyftLabs is a growing data product company that was founded in early 2020, and works primarily with Fortune 500 companies. We deliver digital solutions built to help accelerate the growth of businesses in various industries, by focusing on creating value through innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Create clear, concise, and visually compelling sales decks and collaterals.
Support internal strategy, sales narratives, sales prospecting, and use case presentations.
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning.
Support customer and segment identification.
Draft content for LinkedIn and social media, aligning posts with our tone and messaging strategy, including product updates and thought leadership.
Research companies, map stakeholders, and develop target customer profiles.
Explore use cases and whitespace to identify where ShyftLabs can create value in new verticals or applications.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian Post Secondary Institution, preferably in an MBA or BBA program.
Strong storytelling and slide creation skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, strategic presentations.
Demonstrated experience in research and synthesis to generate meaningful insights for decision-making.
Clear and concise writing skills, suitable for both internal briefs and external-facing content.
Structured thinking and analytical capabilities to evaluate problems and communicate recommendations effectively.
High level of ownership, reliability, and self-management across projects and deadlines.
This internship is available May through August, with flexible start dates and end dates. The position can be extended as well to accommodate 8 month or 12 month co-ops terms.
