About The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Structural Engineering Manager to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in driving the growth of our client's Calgary office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical leadership with business development and client engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead structural design and project delivery for a wide range of building projects—commercial, institutional, residential, and healthcare.
  • Oversee the work of junior engineers and technologists, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Manage client relationships and actively participate in business development, proposals, and project pursuits.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure coordinated, innovative, and high-quality design solutions.
  • Conduct site reviews, construction administration, and respond to RFIs and site issues as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and help shape the future of our structural team in Calgary.

What You Bring

  • P.Eng. designation in Alberta (APEGA) and a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering for buildings.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams and delivering successful projects.
  • Strong business development acumen with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes, structural systems, and design software
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
