Our Major Projects group within WSP’s Energy, Resources & Industry (ERI) sector supports clients across Canada with integrated project delivery expertise. As we continue to expand, we’re adding a Supplier Quality Surveyor to our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to support major nuclear projects in the Kitchener, Cambridge, and Waterloo areas.

In this role, you’ll help ensure the safe, compliant, and reliable delivery of equipment and materials for projects governed by CSA N299 and ASME III NCA 4000 requirements—directly contributing to Canada’s clean energy future.

Your Impact

  • Apply and interpret Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) procedures and workflows aligned with client and project requirements.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to internal teams and external partners.
  • Perform quality surveillance activities: visual inspection, dimensional checks, documentation review, NDT, hardness testing, pressure testing, welding inspection, and heat treatment review.
  • Assess supplier performance and identify deviations, risks, NCRs, and corrective actions as required.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, quality plans, and technical documentation related to nuclear-grade components.
  • Advise project teams on quality concerns and opportunities for improvement in supplier documentation and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with Codes, Standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize assignments to meet project expectations and reporting deadlines.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Strong knowledge of quality surveillance requirements for major equipment in nuclear power generation.
  • 5+ years of inspection or quality surveillance experience in CSA N299 / ASME III NCA 4000 environments.
  • Direct experience working on nuclear power projects.
  • Technical diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Background in welding and shop fabrication; CWB Level II or III Welding Inspector certification.
  • ASME III training and current external Auditor certification.
  • Valid NDT certifications (minimum Level II MT, PT, UT, RT interpretation).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada as required.
