Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations, ensuring materials availability, cost control, supplier performance, and alignment with production and business objectives. This role is responsible for setting and executing the supply chain strategy, managing people and processes, mitigating supply risk, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, deep knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, and the ability to balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Lead and manage all supply chain personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning
- Establish and execute departmental vision, policies, procedures, and performance standards
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational policies
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, finance, and sales teams to align supply chain activities
- Develop resource and utilization plans to ensure adequate staffing and capability
- Support the development and management of annual operating and capital budgets
- Prepare monthly supply chain reporting packages and present updates to leadership as required
- Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions
- Lead demand planning activities and provide accurate forecasts to suppliers
- Analyze engineering and production documentation to determine material requirements
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence
- Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Oversee inventory monitoring, reporting, and replenishment activities
- Manage procurement activities, including purchase orders, order tracking, and supplier communications
- Lead competitive sourcing processes such as RFQs, RFPs, and bids
- Negotiate, administer, and monitor supplier contracts and agreements
- Track supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards and drive corrective actions when required
- Manage surplus and obsolete inventory disposition in a cost‑effective manner
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and efficiency gains across supply chain processes
- Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, demand planning, and materials requirement planning
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management
- Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments considered an asset
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- High attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
