Overview

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of TECHNICAL ANALYST II.

Installs, and upgrades, system security, provides subject matter expertise for change management, client methodology, interface technologies, backups and performance tuning for SAP. Develops strategies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the test and production SAP and AS400 environments. Provides database administration support to the SAP systems. Supports implementation of SAP patches and upgrades as required. SAP S4 HANA System Administration and HANA performance tuning, HANA Revision upgrade, HANA backups and refreshes, HANA failover and disaster recovery.

This is a full-time position.

This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive.

Responsibilities

  • SAP patch management - Kernel for OS/400, W2K and Unix - Support package for S4HANA, R/3 APO and BW - GUI upgrades for S4HANA, R/3, APO and BW - Downloads patches and upgrades as required from SAP. Determines the impact of the patch, discuss the impact with the relevant parties. Applies the patch to the test environment, and advise Business Engineering to conduct testing, and schedule production implementation.
  • Monitors performance for S4HANA, OS400, W2K, Unix and SAP platforms and applications. Ensures that all platforms, operating systems and applications are running a appropriate service levels. Reviews service levels on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • SAP R/3, S4HANA and AS400 system security and user administration. Provides authorized access to users based on required approvals. Monitors user access, and review annually with management as required.
  • SAP R/3, S4HANA and AS400 release and change management - Organizes the release of program and application upgrades, ensures that they are properly tested and approved for release. Schedules release into production.
  • Provides support of production department duties in the event of absence of team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business or a related field.
  • Five plus years of experience supporting SAP S4 HANA, ECC, BW and IBP. In-depth experience of SAP architecture, technical administration and troubleshooting.
  • An understanding of accelerated SAP roadmap, and experience with SAP architecture on OS platforms such as Windows and Linux. Strong knowledge of AS400 operating system. Knowledge of client network environment. S4HANA Administration, performance tuning, HANA revision upgrade, HANA backups, HANA failover and failback, HANA system copy and S4HANA migration to cloud.
  • Emphasis on significant, with some routine and complex problem solving. Problem solving involves the ability to trouble shoot LAN/WAN microcomputer and end user technical problems related to Windows, Linux, SAP and other applications.
  • Ability to multitask and provide process improvements towards improved business requirements.
  • Ability to be a team player and collaborate with other tower resources towards business deliverables.
  • The majority of the time is spent giving and receiving factual information.

Nice-to-haves

  • SAP certifications are a plus.
  • Warehouse Management background is a plus.
  • SAP S4 HANA certification is preferred. Knowledge of scripting and automation tasks is an added plus.
