The Global Wealth Management Engineering team is looking for a UI Designer

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Apply a human-centered, iterative design-thinking process to frame problems, ideate solutions, and create impactful experiences.
  • Develop user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes that ensure seamless and intuitive user experiences.
  • Participate in usability testing, gathering feedback to iterate and refine design solutions.
  • Create high-fidelity UI designs and define interaction patterns to ensure visual consistency and a cohesive brand experience.
  • Create, evolve and maintain the design system, ensuring scalability and consistency across projects. Assist with design system audits to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Package requirements for development including FIGMA assets, supporting micro-interactions, and behavioural documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and visual QA to ensure designs meet quality standards.
  • Ensure designs adhere to AODA guidelines and inclusive design best practices.
  • Present and explain design concepts and solutions to team members and stakeholders, using clear rationale to support decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and methodologies to ensure high-quality design solutions.

Skills

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing user-centered solutions and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating and evolving design systems from concept to maturity
  • Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and the ability to apply them to solve design challenges.
  • Strong UX and UI design skills, with proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro.
  • Experience in Human-centric design methodology and design thinking process.
  • Experience conducting UX research (e.g., user interviews, usability testing) and analyzing data to inform designs.
  • Understanding of maintaining and contributing to design systems.
  • Knowledge of AODA compliance and inclusive design practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
  • A passion for innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Front-end development knowledge and previous design experience in banking, insurance, education experience is an asset
