Autodesk is seeking a creative and analytical UX Designer to join our team and help shape how AI influences the future of product development through our leading design and make product, Fusion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to define AI-enhanced user experiences from concept to implementation
  • Design intelligent workflows that integrate AI-driven recommendations, automation, and decision support tools
  • Partner with the research team and conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability studies to inform AI-powered feature development
  • Refine content for help documentation, conversational AI experiences, and AI-generated user guidance
  • Prototype and test AI-driven interactions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user trust
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers and stakeholders to align AI capabilities with user needs
  • Contribute to design systems that incorporate AI-generated content, predictive assistance, and adaptive interfaces
  • Work within a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing evolving AI advancements with user-centered design principles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in UX Design, Mechanical Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in UX design within software, AI, or manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical thinking and a user-centered design mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams across time zones
  • Experience conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing
  • Familiarity with AI-driven design principles, conversational UX, or AI-powered user assistance
  • Has experience applying UX in real-world projects and can speak to their role in team efforts using RACI principles
  • Passionate about AI, technology, and how products are created, with a desire to shape the future of digital tools
  • Curious and proactive—asks great questions to understand users, business needs, and technical constraints
  • Thinks systematically, connecting workflows across multiple tools and platforms
  • Enjoys problem-solving, reframing challenges, and exploring creative solutions
  • Communicates clearly, influences decisions, and collaborates across disciplines
