Why is this role important?

This role is a key support and partner to the International Wholesale Apparel business in assuring completeness and accurate presentation of its financials

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for the creation, development, analysis and communication of periodic financial reports to key decision makers within the business
  • Support in the preparation of budget and forecast of sales and margin for the International Apparel business
  • Monitoring the performance vs budget of costs related to inventory and landing factors
  • Balance sheet control by monitoring and reconciling accrual accounts
  • Management of the Access Database of Inventory
  • Responsible for timely communication with offshore vendors and process their payments
  • Responsible for journal entry creation and posting
  • Assist in design, development and implementation of improvements in the Access Database as well as new and ad hoc reports as required by the business
  • Support the Apparel retail business in Shrink related initiatives
  • Participate in special projects as necessary

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 2 years related work experience in similar role
  • Designated accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining it
  • University degree or post-secondary education
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office - Excel (pivot tables, vlook ups and macros) and Access
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to effectively obtain information, communicate issues, actively engage in influencing others and working as a team
  • Results oriented - ability to prioritize and consistently delivers on time with high degree of accuracy, ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Must possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail and consistency in report presentation
  • Highly motivated, pro-active professional, who is flexible and has an ability to adapt to a complex and ever changing fast paced environment
