About The Position

RWDI is seeking a dynamic individual to join its Emissions Monitoring and Modeling team as a Senior Ambient Air Quality Consultant in our Ambient Monitoring Team in the Guelph office.

The Role Includes But Is Not Limited To

  • Planning and coordinating technical and reporting aspects of ambient monitoring projects
  • Coordinating with regulators and clients to achieve project goals
  • Working in a team environment to complete assigned tasks
  • Working to strict schedules while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Writing of technical reports
  • Assisting Project Managers with scoping and pricing projects
  • Mentoring Junior staff in the Guelph office, and occasional staff support at other locations when necessary
  • Coordinate the day to day with project oversight
  • Scheduling coverage for project start-ups


We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology or engineering (environmental, chemistry or electrical)
  • Minimum 10-years’ experience working in the Ambient Air Quality field
  • Strong computer and analytical technical “hands-on” skills
  • An aptitude for practical problem solving


Candidates Should Also Possess

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people and team skills as well as being highly motivated
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with no supervision
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities, coordination and consultation skills
  • Willingness to travel and to work occasional long hours, evenings, weekends (including Sundays).
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment to coordinate and complete calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting in the field
  • Ability to work on several projects at once and proven ability to successfully meet deadlines
  • Aptitude for attention to detail to ensure a high degree of quality assurance and quality control
  • A valid driver’s license
