The Asset Specialist is responsible for the accuracy of our customer asset database and serves as a resource for the Sales, Product Marketing and Technical Support teams.

Ross Video maintains a detailed database of equipment, software and other materials which have been purchased by customers for use at their locations. Customer asset records are critical elements of renewal creation and technical support processes.

The Asset Specialist will take a proactive approach to recommending new processes or functionality which will support the growth of recurring business in all our channels. The Asset Specialist will also be very process-driven, creating and improving upon existing processes and maintaining process documentation.

They may also be asked to lead specific asset-related projects.

What the job is all about:

  • Provide support to Product Marketing, Sales, and Tech Support on Customer Assets.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance reports for asset data completion
  • Assist in updating asset data in SFDC on an ongoing basis.
  • Help create and maintain asset “rules” within SFDC, ensuring consistency in how we present assets across product lines.
  • Create and update process documents related to all job-related tasks
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Who you are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (post-secondary is a plus)
  • Knowledge of sales processes and/or experience in sales
  • Basic Knowledge & Proficiency with standard office tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Basic Knowledge & Proficiency (minimum 1 year experience) with Salesforce.com would be considered an asset
  • Extremely detail oriented – passionate about accuracy
  • Organized – able to juggle the demands of multiple projects
  • Proactive and action oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills - an ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • “Change agent” who is interested in improving internal processes
  • Ability to collaborate as well as work independently
  • Analytical mindset that can identify root causes and offer solutions for corrective action

Home based role with the ability to travel to our Ottawa, Ontario, Canada location on occasion.
