As a Bilingual Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist with fluency in French & English, you will play a key role in delivering specialized expertise and building high-performance teams while managing the end-to-end recruitment process and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for our new hires.
Mission
To drive Epiroc's Talent Acquisition and Onboarding processes by seamlessly transitioning new employees from offer acceptance to full integration into the company. This role includes sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates aligned with Epiroc’s business strategy and core values, while also coordinating orientation activities, background checks, paperwork, training, and supporting new hires during their initial period. The Recruitment and OB Specialist collaborates closely with hiring managers and HR professionals in the Americas region to meet staffing needs and ensure a diverse, inclusive, and exceptional candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Drive the recruitment process from needs analysis to advertising, selection, and pre-boarding, adhering to Epiroc global policies and collaborating closely with operational HR and managers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates to identify the best fit for open positions.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
- Maintain candidate databases and track recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness.
- Continuously analyze and enhance processes and workflows, leveraging digitization and agile methodology for greater efficiencies
- Act as the main point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process.
- Coordinate pre-employment Background check activities.
- Coordinate orientation schedule for new employees in collaboration with Local HR.
- Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the onboarding process.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Stay informed about employment laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to hiring and onboarding practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with privacy laws.
- Communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions and candidate pipelines.
- Address questions or concerns from candidates or new hires promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in recruitment and onboarding procedures.
- Implement best practices to enhance the candidate experience and streamline onboarding processes.
- Seek feedback from hiring managers and new hires to continuously improve the recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in recruitment and onboarding coordination, preferably in a bilingual environment.
- Fluency in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Canada.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and experience with applicant tracking systems such as SAP SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
