About
As part of the Collection team, you will ensure the health of the organization's portfolio by coordinating the collection of accounts receivable assigned to you.
Responsibilities
- Collect delinquent accounts receivable.
- Make various agreements with customers to regularize files;
- Work in collaboration with various parties, such as trustees, lawyers, collection agencies, etc;
- Work in collaboration with other departments, notably the Litigation and Repossession Management team;
- Follow up on insurance claim files; participate in the recovery of losses after liquidation of assets and determine the next steps in the process (lawyers, collection agencies, etc.);
- Search for missing customers;
- Promote referral of files to our other business units when applicable.
- Prepare credit applications for transfer of delinquent files;
- Any other related duties that may fall within the scope of this position.
The Profile We Are Looking For
- 1-5 years' experience in commercial collections.
- Bilingual (English and French or English and Punjabi/Other language) to be able to serve our customers in all the provinces.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships across the organization
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, competing priorities and multiple responsibilities
- Good negotiation and problem-solving skills- You are recognized for your good communication skills
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Speak a third language such as Punjabi, Hindi, etc.; an asset
- Knowledge of leasing laws; an asset
