This role sits within Laurentian Bank Securities, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

As Coordinator, you contribute to the operational activities of the LBS and B2B Dealers Services Registered Plans team. You are responsible for coordinating daily tasks, training team members and setting up and reviewing procedures & policies. You coordinate and participate, as a content expert, in various projects related to the activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the planning of the team's daily work including managing business line requests/inquiries
• Ensure procedures are followed in accordance with established standards while complying with securities requirements and applicable regulations (CRA, Revenu Quebec, PCMLTF, CIRO, etc.)
• Provide technical support to team members & colleagues by answering their questions and taking charge of more complex files
• Conduct training for team members to ensure versatility, develop the expertise of the tasks under their responsibility and improve client servicing
• Carry out monthly reconciliations of control accounts on the sector’s activities
• Act as a reference person to the members of various operational teams as well as to the entire organization
• Raise relevant information and issues with manager and works closely with them to optimize processes
• Review and draft the sector’s business processes and procedures
• Participate in the identification of operational risks and in the search for continuous improvement in relation to the sector’s activities
• Participate in various projects, as required
  
  

Qualifications

• University degree + 5 years of experience in the brokerage industry
• Knowledge of registered plans (RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, HFSA and RESPs) as well as “Group” plans and locked-in plans (LIRAs, LIFs, etc.).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French
• Autonomous person with excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude and ability to manage priorities
• Strong team player with a collaborative approach and a customer service focus
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to summarize more complex situations
• Knowledge of OSS, CPS, FundServ and WorkDesk is an asset
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite, more specifically excel
• Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
