Position Overview
The Pit Boss will be in charge of several dealers operating several different games simultaneously. The Pit Boss is expected to be an absolute expert in the games they oversee, and be able to hand out rulings at a moment’s notice. They must also ensure first-rate customer service and efficient table game procedures at assigned tables and to act within and according to internal guidelines to ensure the compliance of Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC) terms and conditions.
The Pit Supervisor ensures that all gaming rules and procedures are strictly adhered to in accordance with the Casino Internal Controls and Guidelines while complying with Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC) terms and conditions. The Pit Supervisor promotes the values of the Casino by example at all times and encourages others to do the same. They ensure first-rate customer service with quick efficient table game procedures. They act as initial contact in their designated area when a guest raises a complaint and will inform management respectively.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a valid AGLC license and pass a criminal record check.
- Supervise assigned areas and gaming activity to ensure protection of casino assets, integrity of games and compliance with AGLC regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of the AGLC terms and conditions, approved games and game procedures, and any applicable legislation.
- Ensure professional game activity and respectful customer service by attending to patrons with optimal care and professionalism.
- Completed education relevant to the service industry .
- Specific education relevant to money transactions and games procedures .
- Computer literacy.
- Dual pit boss / Supervisor position, previous management or supervisory experience an asset but not required.
- Must have some pitting experience.
- Knowledge of advantage and cheating at play on games being supervised.
- Experience with table games, rules, and procedures.
- Experience in customer service and leadership.
- Excellent negotiating, oral and written communication skills.
- Selected candidates must be willing to work any shifts, day shift or night shift as well as week-ends and any events.
- Priority will be given to Tsuut'ina Nation members.
