A Facility Operator is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. Operators actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection, while keeping in constant contact with customers and demonstrating excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.

Work Environment
This position is located at the Dawson Creek Full-Service Terminal and is a 12-hour shift with a rotating 7 on / 7 off shift schedule.

A Day in The Life
- Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility
- Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucks
- Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating
- Responsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance
- Conducting treatment of solids on the waste pad
- Conducting glycol boiler operations and inspections
- Submitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office
- Participates in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)
- General maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe
- A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in operating waste processing and oil treating or water injection an asset, but not required
- Training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is considered an asset
- Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG
- A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
- Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure clear communication with the rest of the team
- Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
- A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing
