What You'll Do:
- Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, walk-ins, and community networking—you're always on the hunt.
- Manage your territory like your own business, building and maintaining relationships with both prospects and existing members.
- Meet with business owners, understand their needs and refer them to CFIB’s services.
- Become a subject-matter expert and stay informed about our resources, business issues, and policy updates impacting SMBs.
- Represent an organization that business owners trust and seek for guidance.
- Outgoing and persuasive: you’re a natural relationship builder who thrives on face-to-face interaction.
- Sales-driven: you live for the chase, love closing deals, and take pride in exceeding your targets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you take ownership of your work and treat your territory like your business.
- Empathetic and solution-oriented: you listen before you pitch, and you love solving problems.
- Resilient and optimistic: rejection doesn’t faze you; it fuels your fire.
- 2+ years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience.
- Experience working with small businesses is a strong asset.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
