Job Overview
We are recruiting Finish Dozer and Excavator Operators for projects near the Cold Lake, AB area. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with the construction team, with a focus on adhering to project specifications and safety regulations. The role requires experience working around underground utilities, reading grade stakes and site plans, and performing precise finishing work for water and sewer installations.
Responsibilities
- Operate dozers and excavators safely and efficiently in water and sewer construction environments.
- Perform daily insp
- ect
- ions of equipment prior to operation.
- Complete fine grading and finishing work to project specifications and grade requirements.
- Work safely around underground utilities, trenches, and pipe crews.
- Abide by all safety standards and codes.
- Follow directions that are spoken or delivered by hand signals of ground crew members.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience operating dozers and excavators. Water and sewer construction is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of underground utility installation, grading, trenching, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret grade stakes, site plans, and utility drawings.
- Must be fit-for-duty.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
- Must pass pre-employment test including cannabis.
