ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The QA Analyst will work as an integral part of our product development team, ensuring quality throughout the product lifecycle. This role will involve performing quality assurance for several complex and fast-paced agile projects in a flexible development environment. This person must be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to collaborate with people from different teams.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

To effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to do the following:

• Manage small to medium-scale projects and fulfil project lead responsibilities as assigned.
• Actively participate in project charter, project kick-off meetings, business requirement reviews, and give feedback on the quality and quantity of information available.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans with detailed in-scope and out-of-scope requirements for full testing coverage.
• Identify and communicate risks and the risk mitigation plan to stakeholders.
• Develop detailed test cases based on business requirements and use cases.
• Maintain and execute test cases and create detailed bug logs for any disparities.
• Design and execute relevant test types based on the current project(s), e.g., Smoke, Functional, Regression, End-to-End, etc.
• Perform backend testing and data validations using API and SQL as needed.
• Work collaboratively across teams (product managers, project managers, software developers) to ensure a timely and effective testing effort.
• Proactively communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
• Participate in daily scrum, project charter, project kick-off, planning, weekly updates, retrospect/debrief and defect triage meetings.
• Evaluate and identify test scenarios for Regression testing for the assigned projects.
• Contribute to QA initiatives and help improve QA processes, which will ensure the continued delivery of high-quality software.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related studies is an advantage. Industry-recognized testing certification(s) like ISTQB are also helpful.
• Experience - 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Technical Skills:

• Strong Experience testing data-driven applications that provide capabilities for data analysis, analytics, and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience with API testing is a must (e.g. using Postman).

• Experience with SQL scripting and backend testing.

• Experience in interface, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience using an SDLC software such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.

• Experience in Agile Methodologies.

• Experience in writing automated test scripts using Selenium or similar frameworks.
