Reporting to the Team Lead, IT Service Management, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing IT team, as we build the systems and processes needed to support our staff and become a public company over the next few years.
Please note, this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves a rotating or variable schedule. Evening shifts and weekend coverage are part of the regular responsibilities. Candidates must be prepared to adjust their availability based on operational demands and support schedules. Occasional work on statutory holidays may also be required.

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing day-to-day technical support for Kardium employees.
- Managing end-user accounts and permissions across IT systems.
- Onboarding of new employees and contractors.
- Assisting employees with software and hardware setup and configuration.
- Sourcing and installing new equipment.
- Managing and maintaining AV solutions in meeting rooms.
- Supporting technology enablement for building management system
- Providing input on IT requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- At least 2 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist
- Familiarity with hardware/software installation and configuration.
- Knowledge in installing and troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of server administration, network switches, firewalls.
- Working knowledge with M365.
- Ability to provide IT problem solving and support desktop operating systems and applications.
- Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications like Microsoft 365 Azure, Microsoft Azure, CCNA would be considered as an asset.
