Labourer / Assistant Industrial Painter - #183787

Summary

Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, the purpose of the Assistant Industrial Painter includes, but is not limited to, being capable of performing all aspects of the Paint Department, working with other employees as a part of a team, and being prompt and on time daily for work. Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques and learn all aspects of job as required.

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of Enerflex’s Southeast Calgary facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the paint department in all related duties in the shop.
• Interested in learning about Alkyd, Enamel, Polyurethane, Epoxies, and Zinc industrial paints
• Painting of Gas Compression, Gas Processing and Power Generation equipment to a high standard of quality primarily using airless spraying equipment
• Interested in learning about methods and techniques related to painting, safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products.
• Familiar with the use of wet and dry paint thickness MIL gauges.
• Willingness to learn about performing soluble salt testing and low voltage holiday detection.
• Willingness to learn about the use of Replica Tape to determine sandblast profile.
• Measuring environmental conditions and accurately recording.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of related work experience in a similar industry is considered an asset.
• Good written and oral communications skills.
• An interest in industrial painting.
