As a Lead Advisor, Risk Quantification and Capital, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and maintenance of credit portfolio stress testing models.
In this role, the incumbent provides leadership in researching, identifying trends, and monitoring emerging developments in stress testing modeling, with the goal of recommending innovative solutions to complex issues or enhancing current practices.

As a Lead Advisor, Risk Quantification and Capital, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and maintenance of credit portfolio stress testing models.
In this role, the incumbent provides leadership in researching, identifying trends, and monitoring emerging developments in stress testing modeling, with the goal of recommending innovative solutions to complex issues or enhancing current practices.
Responsibilities
- Continuously updates his knowledge of Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) in the Standardized Approach, and communicates it accurately and effectively in line with current legislation, as well as the Bank's policies, programs and procedures.
- Advises, in an expert capacity, the Credit Risk Management Sector on the implementation of best practices for the calculation of CAR.
- Assumes responsibility for the production of CAR ratio calculations, interprets data, explains discrepancies, assesses implications.
- Provide strategic advice to identify opportunities to refine current processes and calculations.
- Supports the development of automated controls related to CAR production.
- Carries out work required by regulatory requirements in connection with CAR calculations.
- Maintains effective communications with the various stakeholders involved in CAR activities.
- Performs any other tasks of a similar nature or of a general nature requested by his/her superior or required as part of his/her duties.
- University degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, econometrics, or finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Capital Adequacy Standards.
- Strong expertise in database management using SQL, and in the use of specialized statistical tools, including SAS (EG).
- Ability to influence and propose innovative solutions.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving orientation.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Bilingualism (French and English).*
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
