Join us in an exciting new role as Lead Project Engineer/Manager within our Buildings Sector. You are a strong leader with extensive experience in managing complex mechanical design projects from inception to completion (planning, coordinating, and executing all project phases, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines). The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing design resources, and ensuring quality to deliver successful project outcomes

What you can expect to do here:
- Familiar with National, Provincial and Municipal Codes and Standards. Ensures the design documents meet established project criteria and applicable standards. Coordinates the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings
- Lead a project specific mechanical design team
- Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure project success.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Ensure all engineering work meets quality standards and codes, while ensuring client expectations are met.
- Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a valid PEO license
- 15 years’ experience in engineering consulting industry focus on the design of mechanical systems for buildings
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Desire to participate in client management and business development activities.
