MHSW Depot Supervisor, Processing Facilities - #224203

GFL Environmental is looking for a Waste Depot Technician for our City of Kawartha MHSW Depot! This is a part-time position working only on Saturday's from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to the residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes that visit the depot
• Have good communication skills to deal with City of Kawartha Lakes employees, and the public
• Have read and understand all training documents on-site
• Receive household hazardous waste from residents
• Identify, sort, and pack household hazardous waste into the appropriate containers
• Maintain clean grounds and facility
• Wear all of the required PPE at all times
• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Maintain and report any equipment that needs repair
• Comply with all rules and regulations to do with operating the depot
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
• Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
