Position Summary

PREGTRIAL (Inclusion of PREgnant and lactatinG people in clinical TRIALs) is a CIHR-funded implementation science project that seeks to reduce barriers to inclusion for pregnant and lactating people in Canadian-led clinical trials. The project will entail conduct of an evidence review to determine the current state of the science, an environmental scan to assess inclusion of pregnant and lactating people in recent Canadian drug and biologic trials, a survey to assess investigator-related barriers and facilitators, and development of harmonized sections of protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and informed consent forms (ICFs) to facilitate the inclusion of pregnant and lactating individuals by trialists and their teams. As part of this project, we are seeking to hire a full-time Project Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating project activities with a diverse team of investigators, knowledge users and other collaborators, and patient partners. The Project Manager will work closely under the supervision of the PI, Dr. Natalie Dayan, to ensure that program activities are carried out successfully, that milestones are met efficiently, and that challenges that arise are managed appropriately. With administrative and operational oversight responsibilities, their expertise will be essential for this project's success.

In addition to the primary responsibility of overseeing PregTrial, the project manager will also assist Dr. Dayan with other related ongoing projects, including managing ethics renewal, graduate student administration, and assistance with funding applications.

General Duties

  • Ensure the implementation and coordination of study activities to meet PREGTRIAL’s aims,
  • Organize and participate in small- and large-group meetings with members of the project team,
  • Engage with group members in between meetings to ensure tasks are being completed,
  • Oversee data collection activities using Redcap, Survey Monkey, Covidence, and other platforms,
