As a Quality & Safety Coordinator with Summit Air, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Quality Assurance and Safety Management programs, including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices tailored to aviation industry standards.
This role ensures compliance with aviation regulations and standards, conducts regular audits and inspections, and fosters a strong culture of safety and quality across the organization through cross-departmental collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Audit and Quality Assurance:
- Conducts and supports internal and external audits per the Quality Assurance Program.
- Performs spot checks and maintains audit documentation.
- Identifies non-compliance areas and recommends improvements.
- Assists with audit coordination and continuous program enhancement.
- Safety Management System Compliance & Promotion:
- Promotes SMS compliance and safety culture.
- Educates staff on safety rights and reporting procedures.
- Assists with safety investigations and hazard assessments.
- Supports hazard registry maintenance.
- Audit Follow-Up and Corrective Action Management:
- Follows up on audit findings to ensure timely corrective actions.
- Works with teams to develop and monitor CAPs.
- Prepares summary reports and supports process improvement.
- Maintains safety and quality training records.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in aviation environment
- 1-year proven exposure to Safety/Quality
- Previous auditing/HSE experience
- Highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communicator, both written and oral; ability to liaise effectively with departmental heads and company personnel at all levels
- Proven time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Work Location – Yellowknife
- Monday to Friday, Office hours 8 am to 5 pm
