Reporting to the AVP, End to End Testing Function, the Senior Manager, End to End Testing, will play a key leadership role in coaching, mentoring, and guiding the testing team, ensuring the continued maturity and effectiveness of the established testing function.

This role is responsible for leading critical projects and overseeing testing operations, ensuring alignment with best practices, business needs, and the LBC Delivery Framework. The Senior Manager will foster a culture of excellence in test strategy, execution, automation, and defect management, driving continuous improvement across testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of leaders and testing professionals, helping develop skills and enhance expertise in their respective roles, testing methodologies, automation, and business alignment.
  • Contribute to the growth of the End to End testing function by helping refine standards and processes, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support consistency and scalability.
  • Manage testing resources and their allocation, and ensure test team consistently delivers with quality on time and on budget.
  • Oversee testing efforts across critical programs or projects, ensuring rigorous validation, effective risk mitigation, and smooth integration.
  • Define metrics and key performance indicators to communicate the progress of testing and measure the quality of the deliverable throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve quality of delivery, increase efficiency, effectiveness and ensure proper risk mitigation; plan and roll out any changes to various stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage is in place by producing well organized test plans and test cases with appropriate requirement coverage.
  • Support executive decision-making by providing insights into testing outcomes, quality metrics, and operational risks.
  • Perform testing related activities such as updates to documentation, issue management, and implementation support as required.
  • Lead talent acquisition, skills development, and competency building to create a high-performing testing function.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies that align with the bank's goals and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure testing activities align with project goals and enterprise-wide quality standards; provide subject matter expertise and be a trusted advisor.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends and emerging risks.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve quality of delivery, increase efficiency, effectiveness and ensure proper risk mitigation; plan and roll out any changes to various stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills required to clearly articulate complex concepts, recommendations, and provide concise updates on testing related activities across various stakeholder groups effectively.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in any related field with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Testing professional, with at least 2 years in a role overseeing others in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality outcomes for large scale, complex initiatives though effective planning, leadership and coordination, risk management, and oversight of deliverables.
  • Experience with different testing automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, Cucumber etc.
  • Experience with API tools such as SOA Test, Rest Assured
  • Experience with continuous integration tools and source control systems such as BitBucket, Jenkins, and Atlassian Suite
  • Experience with Code Coverage tools to measure automation effectiveness would be an asset.
  • Experience working with Financial Services or Banking organizations is preferred.
  • Experience defining, roll out and maintenance of testing governance, standards, and best practices aligned with banking compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing end-to-end testing operations for large-scale financial systems, including regression, performance, automation, security testing, and user acceptance.
  • Bilingual* (English/French) verbal and written communication skills are an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with senior executives, auditors, and external partners
  • This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and from the office.
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
