About The Role

We are currently seeking a Software Support Specialist to provide support for the Design Tools software, including but not limited to database management/updates, software testing, and data integrity. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand complex problems and offer informed solutions in various situations.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Manage the Design Tools software database, its design and development with 3rd party developer(s).
  • Maintain all product pricing data in Design Tools along with all supporting pricing for OEM’s, Customers and Sisco’s.
  • Maintain multi-brand product pricing data for use in the creation of all LIST Price books.
  • Provide software training via webinars or other means as deemed appropriate.
  • Support POS process for large projects in collaboration with appropriate Product Specialists & Engineering Department personnel.
  • Participate on an “as-needed” basis only in the EDR process, refrigeration system design consultation, requests for special units/options, application bulletins, & backup support.
  • Provide Order Entry & IT support when necessary.
  • Provide detailed reports and documentation with a frequency determined by Management.
  • Occasional travel may be required to provide external sales support as determined by Management.
  • Participate in (and coordinate when appropriate) regular team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Degree in computer science, or a College diploma in a technical or related subject matter.
  • Knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems/components and how to apply them.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically in Excel, working with large spreadsheets and proficient in computer use.
  • Experience with Access and SQL databases.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, & adhere to strict deadlines, while utilizing Microsoft Office, Windows as well as other computer software.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills while being self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Possess a valid passport with the ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA

Location: 159 Roy Blvd, Brantford, N3R 7K1 (On-site, 5 days a week)

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm/ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
