Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the role will be to work with various departments to review and move their PowerShell scripts off Jenkins, which is required to support our Tech Debt project and goals.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist in the migration and refactor of various PowerShell scripts from legacy Jenkins environment.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks and processes.
• Assist in the creation and management of automation workflows.
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerShell scripts and automation processes.
• Document all developed scripts and procedures for future reference.
• Adhere to best practices for scripting, version control (e.g., Git), and security
• Perform other duties as required to support Central’s business goals.
• May require some onsite work in our Vancouver office to collaborate with key stakeholders.
  
  
  

What you'll have:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
• Basic understanding of scripting principles (experience with PowerShell is a strong asset, but experience with other scripting languages like Python or Bash combined with a willingness to learn PowerShell is also valuable).
• General experience with Windows Server environments.
• General experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and exploring new technologies.
  
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with Jenkins for automation.
• Familiarity with Azure automation services and workflows, like Logic Apps.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory concepts (Users, Groups, OUs, GPOs)
  
  
  

Hourly Rate: $25 per hour based on 35 work hours per week
