Why this role is important?
Reporting to the Director, Specialty Practice Excellence, the Sr Specialist, Specialty Practice Excellence will support our Pharmacy retail network deliver a great specialty patient experience and promote the growth of their specialty business. Focus will be on developing up-to-date, high quality educational materials, best practices and supporting Specialty Practice continuous quality improvement. By developing tools, resources, and engagement approaches the Senior Specialist will help build awareness, confidence, and consistency in how specialty is delivered across the retail Pharmacy network.
Key Accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop clear, practical tools and resources that help pharmacies deliver excellent specialty care.
- Develop pharmacy references and training materials for new and existing specialty programs.
- Proactively identify quality and patient experience continuous quality improvement opportunities through data analysis and trending
- Foster a culture of patient safety and continuous quality improvement
- Regularly review educational materials and update as required for accuracy and up-to-date information
- Support the overall specialty in retail Pharmacy strategy by enabling Pharmacy readiness and alignment.
- Maintain subject matter expertise on specialty practice
- Registered Pharmacist in good standing with Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Minimum of three years of combined experience in pharmacy, pharma or healthcare
- Experience with adult learning and educational content creation preferred
- Experience participating in continuous quality improvement preferred
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacy processes and systems
- Patient Support Program experience an asset
- Experience with Pharmacy software systems or CRM an asset
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Highly self-motivated
- Flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility reflective of the business needs
- French-English bilingualism an asset
