Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk to join their team in Nelson, BC!
This position works rotating days, evenings: 06:45 to 13:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 06:45 to 14:53, 13:00 to 21:00, 13:00 to 21:08, 14:45 to 21:00, 07:30 to 14:30
Days off: Rotating

What Will You Work On?
This position operates the switchboard, public address and paging systems accepting and directing calls from a variety of customers according to established policies, standards and procedures; receives and directs patients and visitors; registers patients; responds to and monitors hospital alarms and emergency codes; maintains physician on-call/vacation lists; and performs a variety of clerical duties related to receiving and registering of patients, identifying bed booking options, and cashier functions.

- Your Resume outlining two year’s recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- A Medical Terminology Certificate
- A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).
